The topic of applying water-saving technologies in agriculture and the issue of preserving biodiversity under conditions of climate change became a main focus of the seminar conducted for the participants of "Hosildor zamin" project.

 

Within the framework of the seminar, an international expert from Xinjiang Institute of ecology and geography of the Academy of science of China have introduced new methods which make it possible to reduce water consumption in tree growing. There have been discussed practical measures to prevent loss and to develop agrobiodiversity, and also the role of sustainable development of agriculture in preserving ecosystem of arid regions of Central Asia.
