For a mulberry tree to grow well, it needs sufficient moisture and nutrients. This ensures that the buds on the branches develop evenly and produce 10–12 leaves by May.
Care Guidelines:
— In early March, the soil around individual trees and mulberry orchards should be loosened to a depth of 15–20 cm, and the spaces between rows should be cultivated.
— All mulberry trees should be fertilized with mineral fertilizers and watered properly.
— Fertilization in March and April is crucial for healthy growth.
Fertilizer Amounts:
— 360–400 kg of ammonium nitrate and 400–500 kg of superphosphate should be applied per hectare of mulberry orchard.
— With timely irrigation and proper care, the trees will grow quickly and produce a large number of high-quality leaves, which is an essential resource for sericulture (silk production).
