During a visit to Kashkadarya region, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva visited the "Hosildor zamin" educational nursery complex, created to preserve local varieties of fruit trees, adapt them to changing climatic conditions, and multiply them using in-vitro laboratory method. 

 

Zamin Foundation team talked to the audience and got acquainted with training program, designed for 10 months and including practical exercises on application of modern advanced technologies for biodiversity conservation and environmentally friendly technologies. 

 

The curriculum is designed with participation of FAO, specialists from the International Agricultural University in Tashkent and the Institute of Vines, Grapes and Wine named after Academician M. Mirzaev. These specialists will be involved in holding seminars and trainings at all stages of educational process.

 

During a conversation with students, the Board chairperson of Zamin Foundation noted that preservation of agro- and biodiversity is our responsibility to future generations.

 

The project was created under an agreement between Zamin Foundation, Ministry of Agriculture and Khokimiyat of Kashkadarya region with the support from European Union and World Bank.
